Bio

Melissa Hung is the founding editor of Hyphen and served as its editor in chief for more than five years. As a journalist, Melissa writes and edits stories about people, social issues and culture. A speaker on independent media, Melissa is also the curator of Slant: Bold Asian American Images, a festival of short films in Houston, her hometown. She now lives in San Francisco where she enjoys recycling and composting, but misses Tex-Mex and cafeterias.
