Interim editor in chief

Interim editor in chief Lisa Wong Macabasco has been an editor at Hyphen since 2006; she was previously the magazine's features editor. She has written for Mother Jones, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, AsianWeek, Audrey, Filipinas and ColorLines’ RaceWire. She graduated from U.C. Berkeley and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and co-founded the National Asian American Student Conference in 2003. She is involved with community organizations such as Kearny Street Workshop, San Francisco Women Against Rape and Bindlestiff Studio, a Pilipino arts group. She is a member of the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum and the Asian American Journalists Association. A former editor at AsianWeek newspaper, she currently works as an editor and writer in the marketing department of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
