Web Exclusive: Outtakes from Inside/Out Covershoot
Going deep (he thought no one was looking).

It was chilly in the studio, and our Mr. Hyphen 2009 winner, Pahole Sookkasikon was shirtless for most of six hours, enduring goosebumps throughout the three hours of body painting. We had a theme, we had a cover model, we had a concept, and once we got New York-based illustrator Chryssy Cheung on board, everything started to fall in place. Body paint artist Alyson Kenyon translated Cryssy's final illustration to skin.

It was chilly in the studio, even with the space heater on full-force. Our Mr. Hyphen 2009 winner, Pahole Sookkasikon was shirtless for most of six hours, enduring goosebumps throughout the three hours of body painting, plus hair and make-up, and the actual shoot.

When Pahole arrived, he revealed it was a busy day for him. He had taken over as volunteer director for the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival and was commanding a legion of 400 volunteers, for a festival that kicked off the next day! After the all-day shoot, he knew he would have a long night ahead of him.

Pahole really worked it. Enjoy a few shots that didn't quite make the cut.
