We Came to Take Your Jobs Away

Kultur Shock

www.kulturshock.com

Seattle's socially punk 6-piece Balkan gypsy metal outfit have churned out 2006's best party rock album with We Came to Take Your Jobs Away, the band's fourth release. Spin this disc and all heads will tilt. Not all will love it, but Kultur Shock ain't pulling punches for nobody. They're blue collar immigrants who belong neither here nor there, so if you feel they're too irreverent to God or to old world music, just remember that they are what make this country great. Bulgaria, Bosnia, Japan and The United States of America synergizing Balkan folk and heavy metal topped with scorching violin and often hilarious lyrics. So, pucker up all you jobless slackers, and bang your heads. -R.B.
