Camp T.A.Y. (Thai American Youth)

Wat Buddhanusorn of Fremont, CA, invites all Thai American youth entering
grades 6 to 12 to a 2-day Thai American Youth Camp—Camp T.A.Y.
[Fremont, CA]—Wat Buddhanusorn, “temple for the dedication of the Buddha”, invites youth
entering grades 6 to 12 to its very first Thai American Youth Camp—Camp T.A.Y. The purpose of
Camp T.A.Y. is to focus on community development through youth empowerment and to create
memorable experiences that bring the community together. Highlighting the tenets of leadership,
teamwork, character, and Thai American pride, the special camp is organized by Thai American
community members who want to share their knowledge, resources, compassion, and friendship to
the maturing generation.
Located on Wat Buddhanusorn’s grounds in Fremont, California, as a part of the experience, campers
will participate in a series of educational activities focused on leadership development; self
confidence; advancement in community involvement; as well as a deeper understanding of Thai
identity, all germane to a thoughtful cultivation of self awareness and Thai identity in America.
