The South Issue
Mosey with us through the South, a region rich with history and culture -- and one that is vital to, but often overlooked in, Asian American history.
Wat Buddhanusorn of Fremont, CA, invites all Thai American youth to its very first Thai American Youth Camp—Camp T.A.Y. The purpose of Camp T.A.Y. is to focus on community development through youth empowerment and to create memorable experiences that bring the community together. Highlighting the tenets of leadership, teamwork, character, and Thai American pride, the special camp is organized by Thai American community members who want to share their knowledge, resources, compassion, and friendship to the maturing generation.
Camp Information: The two-day camp will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012, and Sunday, July 29, 2012. Applicants must be entering grades 6 to 12 in Fall 2012, and will be supervised at all times during the event. Age exceptions may be made if space is available. This is not an overnight camp,and attendees are expected to make suitable travel arrangements to and from the temple grounds. The cost to attend is $20, and the final day to register is July 22, 2012.
