The New Legacy Issue
The New Legacy Issue delves into the intersection of the past and present.
Did you know that Hyphen’s a nonprofit? Currently produced by an all-volunteer staff? Since we borrow office space and don’t get paid, all donations go toward the production of the magazine and the various events we put on to promote the magazine. This makes us -- that’s right -- overachievers. And you can join us by joining the Overachievers' Club -- listed here in increasing order of parental pride.
Club members will receive the following thank-you’s for supporting Hyphen, by the end of the calendar year of contribution, if not earlier.
| Amount | Level | Hyphen Stuff |
| $50 and up | piano recital winners | one gift / free sub |
| $100 & up | spelling bee champions | one gift / free sub + two general event entries |
| $250 & up | class valedictorians | two gift subs + two general event entries + one hyphen tee |
| $500 & up | summa cum laude grads | two gift subs + four general event entries + two hyphen tees |
| $1000 & up | presidents, popes and poets laureate | four gift subs + four general event entries + three hyphen tees |
| $5000 & up | M.D.'s | six gift subs + six general event entries + four hyphen tees |
Donations are cumulative within a calendar year: e.g., $50 now and $50 later within the same calendar year make you a spelling bee champ; $250 now and $750 later make you an M.D. -- just like that.

And finally, we also accept donations in-kind. If you happen to have something on our wish lists (below or on Amazon) that you don’t need, we’d be happy to help you use it!
WISH LISTYou can sponsor more than one of most of the items above. You are more than welcome to donate the product itself instead of donating the money. Please email business(at)hyphenmagazine.com if you'd like more information on how to help us out with any of these items.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
