Dear Dale,
I just wanted to give you a quick shout out and say that while I wish I could have seen you slice and dice your way to Top Chef excellence, in the end I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

A letter to Top Chef's Dale Talde
Dear Dale, I just wanted to give you a quick shout out and say that while I wish I could have seen you slice and dice your way to Top Chef excellence, in the end I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
Maybe there was a conspiracy against you because producers were worried about what
would happen if they had back to back Asian American winners, or maybe it was
those butterscotch scallops you put in front of Anthony Bourdain that he thought
looked like a melted candy bar.
Who knows, maybe it just came down to that green headband, that let's face it, isn't really all that flattering on you.
To be honest I'm not really sure why you had to go (or why Gail Simmons is still there either), but I do know that at least now that you're gone I won't have to listen to cheftestant Antonia keep on repeating herself about how all you do is cook Asian food even though you've put together some fine non-Asian dishes throughout the contest (and did you notice too that she hasn't really gone after Lisa who's all about the Asian inspiration in her cooking?).
That's probably moot though huh?
Anyway, I gotta run.
See you at the reunion show.

Top Chef is dead to me.
Dale rocked he won 5 challenges! Everyone else was making Asian inspired food and pretty crappy at that. Great show though.
Aw man, I was rooting for Dale. I think that Richard guy is gonna win hands down, though.

SPike: Yeah, Dale completely rocked and I still love the show regardless as well. I especially like seeing Padma give everyone the smackdown at the end of each episode.
sylvie: I have my money on Richard as too. I think he has some great cooking skills and he seems to work really well with people in the kitchen.
