Asian Americans outnumber other groups at UC

Not exactly stop-the-presses news, but Asian Americans are the biggest racial group in the incoming class at the University of California.

Berkeley, UCLA and other campuses of the system have had large percentages of Asian Americans since the 1980s. It was only a matter of time before they outnumbered white students. As professor Ling-chi Wang says in the article, get ready for the possible backlash to the news.

and my homefolk usta call UTA, that's University of Texas at Arlington, University of a Thousand Asians. wow, a thousand. Well, it's suburban TX, you know. There were only 2 other Filipino families at my giganormous Catholic Church (St. Vincent! what! what!).
Anyhow, what are we talkin bout here, Willis? Several Tens of Thousands of Asian Americans? That's purty darn cool.

Interesting article, but if you look at data broken down by ethnicity, this year's Pilipino population at UC Berkeley and other UC's actually declined. Not sure about other ethnicities, but I'd venture to say that many API ethnic groups are "underrepresented" at Berkeley and other UCs.

Littleton, CO is full of white people who transplanted from California because their kids found it tough to compete with Asian Americans.
