Asian American Politicians Make Good

  • Things are looking good for Jun Choi, who's likely to become the next mayor of Edison, NJ, racist crap not withstanding. Read about it here: "Choi's primary win signals emerging diversity in Edison."

  • Down in my native country, Jennifer Kim wins a city council seat in Austin, TX. She's the first Asian American and the youngest person ever to serve on the council. She's only 23! Talk about overacheiver.

  • And librarians everywhere rejoice. House votes down parts of the Patriot Act.
